This year’s highlights are listed below, but be sure to visit the NAHM website for additional information.

Creative Conversations—Are you an emerging arts leader? Attend or host a Creative Conversation in your city this October and connect with others who want to make a difference in the arts in your community.
Art21 Access ’09—Art21, our official partner for National Arts and Humanities Month, invites you to host a screening for Art21 Access ’09, an international initiative of hundreds of public screenings and events for the upcoming fifth season of the Peabody Award–winning PBS television series, Art:21—Art in the Twenty-First Century. Planning an Art21 Access event is simple and free for all participating venues. For more information about the program or to schedule your event visit Art21’s planning page.
United We Serve: ARTSusa—Take time during NAHM to volunteer and serve in your community. We invite you to post your arts volunteer stories on our new website dedicated to promoting community service opportunities for arts groups, arts volunteers, activists, and artists nationwide.
Official Proclamations—Encourage local public officials to support the arts by signing a NAHM proclamation. Samples are available from the online tool kit. Please email us a copy of your signed proclamation (or a link to it) to have it posted on our website.
Promote NAHM—Include the NAHM logo in your publications, or place a Web sticker on your website, blog, or social network profile. These graphic resources are available as part of the online tool kit. Free NAHM decals are also available in limited quantities; please e-mail us your request.
National Arts and Humanities Month presents the opportunity for everyone to experience the arts this October, whether it’s attending the theater or other cultural event, taking a ceramics or dance class, or singing songs with your kids. Please join Americans for the Arts in recognizing this special month.
