Help Develop a New Traveling Exhibition on Health

Angela Hanshaw | June 14, 2011

Health and nutrition are currently very hot topics—see Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move campaign and the United States Department of Agriculture’s new My Plate eating guidelines, just as two examples. The American Library Association’s Public Programs Office is collaborating with the National Center for Interactive Learning (NCIL) on a series of exhibits on those topics that will tour libraries. NCIL is in the beginning stages of planning a new, interactive exhibit titled “Discover Health,” which will engage library patrons and others in learning about their bodies and health.

Here’s your chance to let NCIL know what you would like to see in this exhibit. Please fill out the brief survey NCIL has designed to gain valuable feedback from you to assist in planning their proposed exhibit.

If possible, please fill out the survey by Friday, June 17. However, NCIL will leave the survey open until June 30, should you need more time.

Angela Hanshaw is Program Officer/Web Editor for the ALA Public Programs Office.

I would like to see a kids interactive portion where children/adolescents can see what sugar does to the body.

I would LOVE to see this exhibit visit Great Falls, MT!

Thank you for your work!
