The Public and Cultural Programs Advisory Committee is working on putting together some programming toolkits.  These will be posted on the Programming Librarian for all to use.  Does anyone have a check list/timeline that they use to ensure that they have done everything for an upcoming program?  Would you be willing to share it with me?  Many thanks.  You can send it to andrea.lapsley@colostate.edu

I use a timeline and a checkoff list for each of my programs. I usually just pull up a word document or I have an app on my iPhone called Shopper which has a shopping list for my programs.

Another great thing I do for my programs is create a flow chart of how the program is set up. I take a piece of paper and draw out the room and how its set up, I then walk through my program and how it will feel to the patron who is attending. It worked with me and the events I do when I worked for a local Community Services Department and it works great at the library.

I would definitely be interested in something like that. I'm always worried about forgetting something.
