Short Title
"Climate Choices" Common Ground for Action Forum

Interested in leading productive conversations on climate change and other challenging topics at your library? Experience a deliberative forum firsthand.

National Issues Forums LogoJoin ALA and the National Coalition for Dialogue & Deliberation (NCDD) for a virtual dialogue and deliberation session using the National Issues Forums Institute’s (NIFI) Common Ground for Action online forum.

In this session, attendees will experience a deliberative forum by examining the advantages and disadvantages of different options for addressing climate change, weighing these against the things they hold deeply valuable. Using NIFI’s “Climate Choices: How Should We Meet the Challenges of a Warming Planet?” issue guide, participants will engage in meaningful, productive dialogues about issues that affect the environment and their communities.

This session is free and open to libraries of all types. The forum is offered as part of ALA’s Libraries Transforming Communities: Models for Change initiative. For more information about NIFI’s approach, you may view an optional 90-minute webinar
