Picturing America for Public Libraries

Class visits focused around the Picturing America posters that were professionally framed and rotated according to the age of the class. Head Start Classes - Storytelling in conjunction with art and a book- three class visits = 90. SKIP program 3-5 years old also included storytelling around Presidents day and the art utilized as a visual. 4 class visits =80. Junior high class visits consisted of 13-15 yr olds included class visits at two locations (240) where the title, period and history were discussed. The adult contest included the name the art contest. After each person was given an opportunity to name the art, a copy of the information included in the teacher's resource book was provided to the patron for future reference and sharing.
