Henderson District Public Libraries, Lydia Malcolm Branch, Henderson, NV
Our "Question of the Day" program is very popular with kids and it really introduced them to the posters. On Mondays & Wednesdays, we have the kids answer two questions that make use of library resources. They get a small paper that tells them what to do (ex: check out all the posters around the library) and asks the two questions (ex: In what museum will you find Autumn Landscape – River of Life?). The kids turn in the question answers and get to pick a small prize out of our prize fishbowl. For younger children we will be using the posters as part of an "I Spy" program this summer. They will get a sheet that has small parts of a poster (ex: the rainbow in George Washington poster) as stand alone pictures and kids have to identify which poster they came from.
