Picturing America for Public Libraries

We hosted an Art Gallery opening, complete with frames for the prints and a reception hosted by the Friends of the Library. A local artist painted a beautiful, patriotic mural on our window to entice visitors. For the event, I created an "I Spy" activity that encouraged participants to take a closer look at the prints.

Besides the Art Opening, we also kept prints on display in the library, changing the theme each month. We catalogued each print and the Teaching Guide, making them available throughout Southeast Minnesota.
