We held a total of 6 programs during Feb-May. In February we had Pastel painting with Sharon Morley where people could try pastels. I talked about Mary Cassatt and how she loved pastels. In March we had “Art on the Wing with Jim Parks” where people could sketch live birds while Jim held them and talked about each one. “Sketching in Pencil and Pen and Ink” workshop was another program with Sharon Morley where people could try my pens and I guided them in using the pen and ink so they had completed drawings at the end of the session. Also in March we had “Basket Weaving” with Janice Anton and Sandy Hopkins where they showed the art of basket-weaving as we displayed the basket weaving poster. In April we had a photojournalist come in and talk about photography and describe all of his award winning photos taken for the Lawrence Eagle Tribune Newspaper. We ended the session in May with Jim Collins, wildlife artist demonstrating how he paints in acrylic paints.
