Offering an audio tour of the Picturing America collection is a great way to bring a museum-like experience to your library. Staff with the Wilbraham Public Library (WPL) in Massachusetts came up with this creative way to engage their users, and have offered the following tips.

Poetry Programming
Poetry programs that feature discussions, readings, or writing workshops can be a great way to program around your Picturing America collection. The Academy of American Poets’ (AAP) Web site offers content that may be useful during program development, including a bibliography of poems that relate to the Picturing America collection, as well as information about ekphrastic poetry.
