The ALA Public Programs Office continues to seek opportunities to promote awareness of the value that cultural programming brings to libraries and their communities. We will continue to develop resources and professional development activities that enhance the ability of librarians to identify opportunities for community enrichment and growth through the arts and humanities. In the coming years, the ALA Public Programs Office seeks to create programming opportunities and resources for librarians to continue promoting libraries as centers for civic engagement and dialogue.
The ALA Public Programs Office welcomes support from organizations that are interested in investing in cultural programming at America’s libraries. To find out more, please contact the ALA Public Programs Office at firstname.lastname@example.org or 312.280.5057.
