The St. Louis Public Library, one of the nation’s top urban libraries, is seeking a Branch Manager with excellent verbal, written and computer skills as well as a strong commitment to serving a diverse community. The person must have superior abilities in the area of reference and reader’s advisory, knowledge of reference tools, bibliographic sources, cataloging and classification systems and the ability to apply this knowledge to assigned areas of responsibility. Should possess organizational and report writing skills, attention to detail is required. Additionally, operational support is needed in the areas of circulation, statistical reporting, opening and closing of the branch, collection development, presentations and directing daily branch operations, strong professional skills in community outreach and programming.
